Ally’s First Montana Hunt [PICS]

With hunting season underway, my husband, Jon, and I were eager to head out and see what we could find.  He normally goes hunting with his dad but this year I tagged along.  We headed out early in the morning on Saturday near Dillon in the rain and ran across a few hunters who said they hadn't seen any game yet.

By the late afternoon, we found ourselves in some new territory.  I spotted two does for the first sight of the day.  They happened to be by themselves so we kept looking.  About an hour later my husband spotted three bucks together.  Two bucks were smaller fork horns and one was a slightly larger 3 by 3 buck.  Overall our first year hunting together was a success! Jon got a buck. 😁  See photos below.
