Alan Jackson's middle daughter Alexandra was arrested Wednesday morning (Aug. 28) in Nashville on charges of assault, resisting arrest and underage drinking. The 20-year-old was the passenger in a Range Rover pulled over around 2:30AM CT. Police say she had been drinking and became angry as they tried to talk to her.

WSMV-TV reports that Alexandra exited the vehicle "visibly irate" and then struck the officer in the chest after first making demands. Police claim she also attempted to bribe the officer by saying her father would bail her out of the situation. Earlier that night, the country legend performed at the Station Inn in Nashville in celebration of his forthcoming release, 'The Bluegrass Album.' His daughter's arrest took place at 12 Ave. South and Wedgewood, just over a mile from the venue.

According to an affidavit obtained by WTVF-TV, Alexandra told police after she was handcuffed that "her father would do anything she wanted him to." She was released on $35,000 bond, with a court date was set for Sept. 23.

This isn't the first time one of Jackson's daughters has been arrested for an alcohol-related crime. In 2012, Mattie was arrested for driving under the influence and later convicted of reckless driving, a misdemeanor. Earlier this year, Alexandra -- or Ali -- was the victim of an internet hoax claiming she was hospitalized after a car accident. That wasn't true.
