9/11 Rememberance Scheduled for Bozeman
Tomorrow is one of those rare days that we always remember exactly what we were doing. I was actually doing a live radio show, interviewing someone who was in New York City when the first plane flew into the first World Trade Center tower. 9/11 is obviously a day we'll never forget and with that in mind, here is some info on a local 9/11 observance planned for tomorrow in Bozeman.
The Montana Hate Free Zone and the Bozeman Public Library will sponsor a 9/11 remembrance program, Thursday, Sept. 11 @ 12pm at the Bozeman Public Library.
The event will be about an hour and will feature readings, poetry and music. During the program candles will be lif as a symbol of remembrance. Please bring a candle. Children can draw a picture of candles to bring.
Featured speakers are: Fire Chief Jason Shrauger, Lt. Police Chief Rich McLane, MSU Professor Dr. Franke Wilmer, veteran Shawn Sheppard, Rev. Denise Rogers and Rev. Danielle Rogers.
Families who lost loved ones on 9/11 are asking that all people participate in an act of service to the community. This year they are asking for donations to the Food Bank.
