Another year of exciting camp activities are in store for 9-13 year olds! You don't even have to currently be enrolled in 4-H to attend!!

This year's 4-H Summer Camp will be held again at the Hyalite Youth Camp on Tuesday, June 21 through Friday, June 24, 2011.

The theme and workshops for the camp were selected by twenty 4-H Teen Leaders/Counselors who have spent months preparing and training for a successful camp.

We hope to see a lot of return campers and a whole bunch of new ones!

This year's theme is "The Good Old Days and Then Some" with activities from

Ancient Times, The Wild West, The Decades, and Back to the Future.

This year promises to be great fun with a smorsgasbord of activities including:

hiking, gps scavenger hunt, building milk jug rafts and floating on them, nightly campfire stories and activities,roping, cave drawing, photography, outdoor cookery, gold panning, musical pipes, drama, tie-dye t-shirts, themed dancing/dance games, Wild West Obstacle Course, crafts, and other workshops such as: Early Hunting With Whiffle Ball Projectors, What To Do If You Get Lost In The Woods, and How To Start A Campfire.

Camp Fees:

Regular 4-H Member Camper Rate: $100 per camper for 9-13 year olds who are 4-H Members

Regular Non 4-H Member Camper Rate: $120 per camper for 9-13 year olds who are not 4-H Members: (They must also complete 4-H Enrollment Form)

Family Rate for 4-H Members: $75 per child if 3 or more siblings are attending for 4-H Members

Family Rate for Non 4-H Members: $85 per child if 3 or more siblings are attending for non 4-H Members (They must also complete 4-H Enrollment Form)

4-H Teen Staff Rate: $100 (Most, if not all of this fee will be covered by Gilhousen and Gallatin 4-H Foundation grant funds for teens who complete minimum number of camp preparation meetings.  4-H Teen Staff work hard for many months as volunteers, so we try to cover their expenses during the camp.)

Adult Chaperones: No charge (costs will be covered for you - if interested, please contact Danica at the 4-H Office or Gregg Switzer (see phone numbers below).

Half scholarships are available for anyone needing financial assistance.  Please contact the 4-H Office for more information at 406.388.3213.

Discounts given to youth in military families!  Please inquire.

Registrations are due, with fees, to the Gallatin County MSU Extension Office by Friday, May 27th, 2011 with no late fee.

Late entries will be accepted May 28th-Friday June 3, 2011 with a $10 late fee.

Registrations will be accepted June 4th through the morning of June 15th with a $20 late fee (subject to availability).

Camp will be filled on a first-come first served basis, so, please don't wait - SIGN UP NOW!
