Women Colors Vs. Men Colors

Why does this always happen to me...  My wife asks me what color something is when I'm at the store so I say what it is.  When I get home it's apparently not the color I told her.

That is why I don't pick out colors right there.  I know a few shades of blue... Light blue, dark blue, and that's about it.  Ladies do you have a guy that does this same thing?  Has he messed anything up because of it?
